Time to go

I have about an hour and a half before I embark on the 14 hour flight to Shanghai. Before departing I will share some pearls of wisdom gathered here at the Toronto airport.

#1.) Be careful spending US money, some of the stores inside the airport don't give you the most favorable of exchange rates.
#2.) Be prepared when planning to spend the night at the airport, a pillow would have been a good idea.
#3.) Sookie Stackhouse

Bon Voyage

It Begins

My adventure begins with me sitting in the Toronto International Airport during what is my first trip out of the country. The final destination is Shanghai but there is still quite a while before that final flight, I will be sitting around this lounge area for another 10 or so before that can happen. Not too much to type about now, my excitement is temporarily being drowned out by a mixture of weariness and boredom but that will subside soon enough. For the time being I will continue entertaining myself in my temporary home for the night. I could explain my mundane airport experiences so far but I doubt anyone really wants to read that.

As my first entry might as well leave a note or two about how this blog will likely continue. I do not know HTML and am not going to take the time to learn it while abroad, so this will not look particularly pretty. Photos will be added later, you can expect to see a lot of food pictures in the mix. There is no plan about how regularly this will be updated, most likely it will occur whenever I feel inspired to write something or just whenever I have time. I am also unsure about whether or not I can actually access this website while within China so this may be my first and last post for this blog. I also really don't know how to write a blog so the style in which these are written will likely change over time.

Signing out.
